Night at the State Library feat. Gary Kurutz

September 4, 2015

Next week’s Night at the State Library features Gary Kurutz, CSL’s Curator of Special Collections, and the Foundations Executive Director. He will regale attendees with tales of California’s pivotal admission to the Union 165 years ago, including Southern California’s attempt to break away from the north. It is sure to be an entertaining evening! Rare items from the California History Collection will be on display.

The event will be held in Room 500 of the historic Library and Courts Building at 914 Capitol Avenue. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The event is FREE but invitations are required to get in. If you would like to attend and/or get on the Night at the State Library mailing list for future events, please call Kimberly Brown at 916-651-6466 or 916-651-6452, or email: kimberly.brown@library.ca.gov.

See the Eventbrite invitation circulated by the California State Library for additional details.
