Bulletin 113 now available online

November 7, 2015

The Foundation’s Bulletin no. 113 is hot off the presses and a preview is available online in pdf format.

This issue features M. Patricia Morris’ fascinating interview with Harold Adler, whose
photographs of the 1960s and 1970s civil rights protests will soon find a permanent home in the California History Special Collections at the State Library.

Former State Librarian and CSLF Executive Director, Gary Strong, contributed a collection of Lawrence Clark Powell’s forwards to his personal library’s sale catalogs.

Foundation Administrator Marta Knight examines two archival collections regarding the controversial Los Angeles Aqueduct. Mike Marlin, Director of the library’s Braille and Talking Book section recounts his extensive travels in 2015, during which he received awards of distinction and represented CSL’s leadership in print-impaired advocacy.

Additional articles highlight new acquisitions and Foundation news.
