Happy Holidays, and THANK YOU, from the California State Library Foundation

December 23, 2015

As 2015 draws to a close we want to thank our members and contributors for helping us support the State Library’s valuable programs. Your response to our year-end contribution drive has been spectacular! We hope you were able to enjoy the library’s State Fair exhibit featuring the History Section’s Panama-Pacific International Exposition collection, if not in person, then through the Bulletin and the library’s website. The exhibit included a fantastic 3-D image display created by Vincent Beiderbecke and Matt Bartok from the library’s Information Technology Bureau. Everyone at the library and the Foundation are already looking forward to next year’s exhibit with a “Transportation” theme.

As usual, the Braille and Talking Book Library quietly continued to provide the excellent service to Northern California’s print impaired patrons. Your donations were ESSENTIAL to this program. Director Mike Marlin traveled extensively last year, promoting BTBL and learning about new technology.

We wish you a very safe and happy Holiday Season, and a prosperous New Year! Come visit the Library! And check back with us to see what’s new.
